Getting support

Support is fastest when the first message contains everything needed to answer it. Below is what that looks like.

Every NuggScripts resource ships a diagnostic command that reports the framework, the related resources it resolved, the database connection, and every problem it found in your config. For nuggs_multicharacter that command is:

mcdiag

Run it in the server console and paste the whole output. It answers most of a support conversation in a single message, and quite often it answers your question before you send anything.

  1. The diagnostic output, in full.
  2. The server console from startup through the error — the startup banner is part of this and is often the whole answer.
  3. The client console (F8 in game) if the problem is visual: a screen that will not open, a UI that flickers, art that does not load.
  4. What you expected and what happened instead, in one sentence each.
  5. Your framework and artifact build.

Console output as text, not a screenshot. Screenshots of text cannot be searched, cannot be copied out of, and usually crop the line that mattered. If it is long, use a paste service and send the link.

Send your config.lua if the question touches configuration — but remove your tokens and secrets first, or better, keep them in server.cfg where they belong and there is nothing to remove.

Open a ticket in the Discord server. Tickets are handled in order, and one with the diagnostic output attached tends to be resolved in the first reply.

Check the troubleshooting page for your script. It is organised by symptom, and it covers the problems that come up repeatedly:
